Week 1 DFI Reflections

Week 1 Reflections👌

What did I learn that increased my understanding of Manaiakalani kaupapa and pedagogy?

  • First of all, thank you Dorothy for giving us the opportunity to learn about Manaiakalani Kaupapa and it's Pedagogy. It's interesting to know that Manaiakalani history and it's existence since 2006. It's interesting to know much struggle it was in the beginning to actually start with school with one computer, computers with no internet and also how difficult it was with very little funding.

  • What did I learn that could improve my confidence, capability or workflow as a professional?

Using Bookmarks, Bookmarks Manager, Bookmarks folder especially, great tools of Google docs- Explore, I was so so excited about the extensions and adding them to Google chrome. I have already added Bitmoji, Fancy cursers and Talk and write extensions.

  • What did I learn that could be used with my learners?

Using Google docs, Using the Voice tool and also Explore option in Tools. Creating the google docs using with voice tool is something I can straight away take it class and use it with my learners.

  • What did I learn that could improve my confidence, capability or workflow in my personal life?

Book Marks
Books Marks Folder
Organising the Google Drive Folders
Also creating Google docs with Table of contents, Heading and sub-headings.

This is the Screen Shot of what I have created using Google Docs.

I used Cooltextgenerator to create my Title. Here is the link for the Website.

  1. Kia ora Chandana,
Thank you for sharing your thoughts on the day - it sounds like bookmarks are going to be really useful for you! Remember you can always remove the text if the icon of the bookmark is one that you easily recognise. Your create task looks great, you can change the colour of the lines in the table to make it look really flash!

  2. Tēnā koe Chandana,
It is great to read that you had some good learning and reflections from DFI week one. Bookmarking sites and organising them is a great way to help with your workflow when using Chrome. I look forward to working with you in week two of the kaupapa.
